Hi Glennis,
My Wait/Waite family originally came from Corsham,in Wiltshire.The line that I have been working on is Zacharia Wait son of William and Ann christened 19th November 1799,Corsham,Wiltshire.
I had a hard time following him as on his marriage certificate he had himself down as Ezekiel Wait and also in the 1851 census for Farmborough,Somerset.But in the 1841 Census he was down as Zacharia,and it seems that in those days either name meant the same??

At times their name has an E on the end but I think that was just a Vicars way of spelling it on the day,but some seemed to have stuck on.
