Maria,
Good to hear from you. Actually, I descend from Keziah Dixon's grandfather, Walter Dixon,Sr. of Pitt County, North Carolina. His daughter, Sarah Dixon, first married a John Mundine and after his death she married James Wainwright, Sr. Her niece, Keziah Dixon is believed to have married a Thomas Wainwright, but I should tell you that no documentation has been found to prove such marriage. This is not unusual for the times, because pastors often traveled. It's recorded in the North Carolina University digital library, people in the rural communities would often post a notice of the up coming marriage and if no one objected, the couple would exchange wedding bands and vows in front of family and friends and were considered married during colonial times.
Reuben Diamond married Elizabeth L. Dixon, daughter of Jeremiah Dixon and Elizabeth Goff. Elizabeth Dixon, was born on May 26, 1793, in Pitt County, North Carolina.
Their children were: William Diamond, b. 1824
Elizabeth Diamond, b. 1825
Anna Diamond, b. January 20, 1829, in Darlington District, South Carolina.
John M. Diamond, b. 1830.
Margaret Diamond, b. 1832.
Clarissa Diamond, b. 1834
Reubin Diamond, b. February 6, 1836 in Fairfield, Covington Co., A
