Hello, I am descended from Sarah Blue Wainright's first marriage. In my research, I found the marriage license of Thomas Wainwright and Sarah Blue, I think in the late 1860s. The marriage was performed by a Rev. Thomas Wainwright,( I assumed this was Thomas’s father) I found this in the Tangipahoa Parish courthouse in Amite. There were also older records in the Saint Helena courthouse in Greenburg. The area where the Wainwrights, the Blues and the Bahms lived was first in Saint Helena parish, then in Livingston parish, and then in Tangipahoa parish. In the late 1800s a group of the Wainwrights left Tangipahoa parish, and moved up around Shreveport, LA. I have a picture of Sarah Wainwright, with writing on the back Telling my Grandfather to write to his Grandmother at R.F.D #2 Shreveport, LA. Does anyone know what happend to the Wainwrights around Shreveport? I think someone said they ran a sawmill. Notify Administrator about this message?
