I am writing a letter to ask your opinions on publishing a quarterly, Wainscott newsletter.
The newsletter would feature queries, lineages, obits, stories, photo's, census info and any other info pertaining to the Wainscott family. Subscribers to the newsletter would be allowed to submit their queries and information free of charge to the newsletter. Your names and email addresses will be provided so that people may contact you regarding the information you submitted.
Newsletters are a great tool in making connections with other researchers.
Newsletters are fun, and people enjoy having that resource right at their fingertips to refer back to from time to time. There of course is a cost and time involved in preparing a newsletter, along with materials and printing and mailing costs, but the subscription price would be well worth it.
If you are interested in subscribing to a Wainscott family newsletter, please drop me a note with your questions, comments or concerns.
Several people responded to the first letter I sent to the Wainscott List, however it was not enough to warrant doing a newsletter.
If you are a serious Wainscott researcher, the newsletter can be a valuable tool to your research, and it documents the history of the Wainscott family for future generations to use. I am looking forward to your responses.
