Hi Becky – as usual I was going to get all my ducks in a row before I responded, but it’s taking too long! Here's some detail on the info we’ve been working on, for (hopefully) other researchers. I have a lot of speculative info, but so far they are just hunches based on coincidence and proximity. More on that later.
Also, I don’t think we’ve talked about the 1885 Nebraska census yet. I've listed it below; I don’t remember how I even came across it, but I was surprised to find them there. Any thoughts?

[Obituary - Teresa Weber Wahner, ...united in marriage to August Wahner in 1858...
From Becky Martin Dec 27, 2002, “...I have a letter from a researcher in Dubuque that shows in the marriage book that August Wagner/Warner (he wasn't sure of spelling) and a T. Weber/Waber applied for a license Oct. 23, 1858 but there was no record of the marriage....”]
Becky and I have some photos to share, and also some mystery people we hope to identify. Anybody out there???
