I am looking for information regarding the Wahl family which came from the Wurzburg portion of Germany, specifically the village of Thalau. Finding out the connection between the Wahl family and the Ackermann family will possibly open up an entire new line of the Ackermann family.
The generations of the family that I have information on are as follows:
1st Generation
Male Wahl married a female Ackermann in Germany. She was from Bavaria.
2nd Generation
Karl Charles Wahl born around 1869, attended school in the Village of Thalau and had 4 sons
Was some type of engineer in the water, gas, electricity and tramways industries, letters from him dated 1933 have the following stamp on them:
Karl Wahl
Direktor der Stadt. Betriebe
Trier
letters from him dated 1936 have the following stamp on them:
Direktor I.R. K. Wahl VDI
Trier, Martinstr. 7
3rd Generation
Ernest Wahl - came to America at an unknown time, attended a “Congress” in Washington, DC in 1935 for engineers and street builders, and in 1933 he lived at the following address
1083 Shady Avenue
Pittsburgh, PA
Karl Wahl
became a physician in Germany in 1934 and traveled to the United States with about 150 other doctors to study American Hospitals.
