Louis Carl Wagy is the son of:

Louis Clifford Wagy b. 1920 d. 1968
m. 1940 Sally Phillips.

Louis Clifford Wagy was the son of:

Lewis Culmer Wagy b. 1884
m. Marvel Berry.

Lewis Culmer Wagy was the son of:

William Harvey Wagy b. 1855 d. 1928
m. Florence Ward.

William Harvey Wagy was the son of:

John Campbell Wagy b. 1829 d. 1902
m1. Martha Lightel 1851
m2. Susan Smith or
Suzanna Kinney 1862.

John Campbell Wagy was the son of:

John Wagy b. 1798
m. Margaret Campbell Andrews 1820

John Wagy was the second son of:

Jacob Wagy b. 1771 d. 1859
m. Barbara Nebergall 1795

Jacob Wagy was the son of our immigrant ancestor:

Philip WEGE 1730s? to 1812.
m. Susannah...? c. 1767

The name was WEGE in the 1760s & 1770s in Pennsylvania...eventually changing to Waggy in Virginia. The two brothers who stayed in Virginia, Abraham and Isaac, kept the WAGGY spelling. The brothers, John, Jacob and Philip, Jr., who moved west into Ohio in 1805 changed the name to WAGY.

I have more information if you are interested. Some great info about the family of Margaret Campbell Andrews.
