Am attempting to sort out the marriage(s) of Henry B. Wagstaff, "of Person Co., NC." According to both census and marriage records located so far, it seems he married my cousin, Pattie Blane, in Halifax Co., VA in 1902. I found his tombstone (died 5 Mar 1922) near Turbeville, VA, with an inscription "Husband of Pattie B. Wagstaff." Pattie was still living, a widow, in the 1930 Census. There is NO tombstone evident for Pattie near her husband. However, next to him is a tombstone for Martha Blane Wagstaff, born 1869 and died 1961. Pattie had a sister named Martha Blane, and I've not found a marriage record yet for Martha, nor have I found a death record yet for Pattie; adding up the dates, none of this makes sense to me. Does anyone have knowledge of this family???
