I am hoping somebody will be able to assist in finding my Grandfather John WAGSTAFF. I have never met him and the details I have are very sketchy, he had two children John Wagstaff and the late Irene BICKNELL. He served in the 2nd world war in Burma (i think), although the war ended he was kept in Burma as a prisoner of war, on returning home to his wife Hilda in Sheldon, Birmingham he found that she had re-married due to the fact that my Grandfather had been reported missing in action. The last time my father was seen was in the Birmingham area in the late 60's he did state that he was going to live in Scotland although this cannot be verified. Can anybody help please?
