William Cone Wagnon b. about 1830 Green Co. GA (New Data)
I have been trying for years to find proof that James Cone Wagnon born July 7, 1860 in AL, David Wagnon and Georgia A. Wagnon were siblings and the children of William Cone Wagnon b 1830 Green Co. Georgia and believe this information will verify this.
In the 1880 Old Texas, Monroe Co., Alabamacensus
on page number 432D is William C. Wagnon age 56 birthplace GA, Engineer, Fathers birthplace VA, Mother GA
Mary J. Wagnon wife age 49 birthplace GA, Father birthplace VA, Mother GA
Page 434D and listed in seperate households:
James and Evaline Wagner, believe this isJames and Eveline Wagnon ages and birthplaces for themselves and parents fit. Eveline Covin and James C. Wagnon were married Monroe Co. Al
William F. Wagner and Mary J. Wagner ages 26 and 22. some LDS posting had William Wagnon as the son of William Cone and Mary Wagnon
David Wagner and Mollie Wagner with son James C. Wagnerand I believe this is Mollie Covin sister to Eveline Covin/wife of James Wagnon. And David's son is named after his brother.Mollie Covin and David Wagnon were married Monroe Co. AL
then on previouspage 434C listed in separate households:
William Holloway and Georgia Holloway who was Georgia Wagnon on marriage certificate and James C. Wagnon was the person who signed her application for marriage and she is listed in an LDS posting as being the daughter of William Cone Wagnon. She was married Monroe Co. Alabama
Charles Covin and family, brother to Molly and Eveline
Caroline Gaskey /w Gasket children, who was Eveline and Mollie's mother, Caroline (Simpkins) Covin married Jas. W. Gaskey and had daughter Ada.
And on same page 432D as William C. Wagnon in
seperate household is:
J. J. Simpkins and family, sister to Caroling (Simpkins) Covin Gaskey.
Well What do you think?
Janie
