Franklin Smith Wagner, 76, VA, died Sunday April 5, 2009,
at Johnston Memorial Hospital.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William Ray
Wagner and Lucy Mae Sheffield Wagner; and by a brother,
Bill Wagner.
He is survived by his wife, Delores A. Wagner; one son,
Michael Anthony Smith and wife Donna of Church Hill, TN;
one brother, Willis Wagner and wife Betty of Kingsport,
TN; two grandchildren, Anna Marie Smith and Benjamin
Michael Smith; one brother-in-law, Jim Hutton and wife
Phyllis of Meadowview; one sister-in-law, Willa Hamilton
and husband Art of Glenrock, PA; and several nieces and
nephews.
The family will receive friends at the church prior to the
service beginning at 5 p.m.
The funeral service will be conducted Tuesday, April 7,
2009, at 7 p.m. in the Old Glade Presbyterian Church with
the Rev. Timothy Bird and the Rev. C.W. Eugene Baldwin
officiating.
The committal service will be conducted Wednesday, April 8,
2009 in the Mount Rose Cemetery mausoleum at 11 a.m. Those
wishing to attend are asked to assemble at the cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Freddie Horne, Frankie Gregory, Joe
Graham, Bobby Thompson, Ralph Puckett, and Bill Mullins.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to
the Old Glade Capital Campaign, P. O. Box 336, Glade
Spring, VA 24340.
