Gladys May Wagner Coffey, 89, of Emory Church Road,
Kingsport, Sullivan Co TN, went to be with the Lord on
Thursday, January 1, 2000, at Holston Valley Medical
Center.
She was born in Clinchfield, Russell County, VA, and lived
here since 1931. She was a member of Apolict Church of the
Lord Jesus Christ.
Preceding Gladys in death is her husband, Ernest L. Coffey
in 2000; her parents, Bige W. and Ida Blakley Wagner; six
brothers, Clyde Wagner, Melvin Wagner, Cecil Wagner, Perry
Wagner, Hubert Wagner, and John Wagner.
Survivors include her daughter, Delores Coffey Wolfe; her
son, Hubert 'Herb' Coffey; two grandchildren, Danny Wolfe
and wife Missy, and Rebecca Bledsoe and husband Todd, all
of Kingsport, TN; three great grandchildren, Reagan Wolfe,
Rachael Wolfe and Zachary Bledsoe; a sister, Ruby
Daugherty and husband Billy of Kingsport, TN; three
sisters-in-law, Evelyn Wagner, Louise Wagner and Alice
Coffey; along with several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on
Sunday, January 4, 2009, at Carter Trent Funeral Home, 520
Watauga Street, Kingsport, TN, or friends may call anytime
at the home of her granddaughter on Petty John Road,
Kingsport.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., on Monday,
January 5, 2008, in the funeral home chapel with Rev.
Everett Lett, officiating.
Burial will follow at East Lawn Memorial Park, Kingsport.
Pallbearers will be Danny Wolfe, Clay Gregg, Todd Bledsoe,
Larry Coffey, Raymond Coffey and Tim Bledsoe. Honorary
pallbearers are Wayne Coffey, Terry Coffey and Connie Wagner.
Carter-Trent Funeral Home, downtown Kingsport is serving
the Coffey family.
