Mission Impossible, the Case of Rosa Wagner
My cousin, Karen Curran and I, have put together what we can on her but..
Rosa Wagner, born August 30, 1890 at 434 6th Street, NY NY, to Margarthe Dieter Wagner, age 25 and Charles Wagner age 33.
First child.
We have looked to the best of our ability in 1900, 1910, and 1920.. although 1920 is moot as we believe Rosamarried George Curran (Iowa, Illinois, and some strong connection to NY) by 1915 and had son Norman Curran, May 1916, NY.
Margarthe Dieter was born Wuntenberg? Germany. Charles born Baden.
Karen and I would like to find more information on Rosa's parents, and follow the family's story from 1890 on. We're coming up with little but are grateful for what we've got so far.
Rosa was said to have burned to death (hotel?due to a cleaner used for beds then?) ...this is unverified. In 1930, Norman was "supposedly" an orphan. This was the story told to others but this was not so. His father was alive and living elsewhere in 1930.He may have suffered from gas in WWI and been unable to care for a child or children but .. he was alive. We have certified documentation.Meanwhile, Norman was raised by his grandmother, from at least 1930 onward.Rosa might have died June 19, 1919. This is one date we are working with.
We are in touch with living descendents of Norman.Theywould like to "understand" what happened. We too as researchers and relatives would like to know "what" happened.Finding Rosa would help.
