Looking for the history of my great grandparents. Ole Pederson and (Anna??) Mary Wagle (Wogle or Vogle) Office of County Court birth record states for son; “Alexander Wogle (Vogle) was born on the 12th day of February 1901, in the City of Valley City, Barnes County, State of North Dakota, of parents Ole Pederson Vogle and Mary Vogle.” My great grandmother was called Anna. 1946 Obituary of Mrs. Ole Pederson Wagle: Rites Held for Mrs. Wagle Monday Afternoon Funeral services were held Monday afternoon in Park River, ND for Mrs. O.P. Wagle, 83, who died Thursday in the home of her daughter, Mrs. C. E. Lien Sr. Rev. John B. Rockne officiated at the rites, which were held in Our Saviour’s Lutheran church. Interment was in Memorial Park cemetery in Park River. Pall bearers were Hans Wagle, R. Kenneth Raveling and Irvin Severson, all of Valley City, Clarence E. Lien Jr., and Norrence Lovaasen, of Park River, and John Ottem, Osnabrock. Born Sept. 26, 1863, in Sandnes, Norway, a suburb of Stavanger, Mrs. Wagle spent her early life there. On Nov 17, 1881, she was married to Mr. Ole Pederson Wagle and in May 1882 the couple came to Valley City were they made their home for nearly 65 years. For the past year they have lived in Park River, with the Lien family. Mrs. Wagle was the mother of eleven children, three of whom preceded her in death. These were her first born son, Peter, and her daughters, Ane Nikoline Foley and Rebecca Lindsay. In addition to her husband, the surviving relatives are three sons, Peter M. Wagle of Minneapolis; Alexander Wagle, Long Beach, CA; and Markus Wagle of Bismarck; and five daughters, Mrs. John Condit, Auburn, WA; Mrs. Gilbert O. Anderson, Spokane, WA; Mrs. Francis C. Osborn, Flagstaff, AZ’ Mrs. John Ottem, Osnabrock; and Mrs. C. E. Lien Sr., Park River. Twenty-eight grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren also survive. Upon the death of her eldest daughter, Mrs. Wagle assumed the care and rearing of her three children, Emily, age three years and infant twins, Anna and Andrew Foley, to whom she gave the devotion of mother as well as grandmother. A sister, Mrs. John Engeberg, lives in Duluth. All of her children, except Alexander, were present for the last rites. He had visited her the week before her death, however. Other relatives who came for the funeral included Mrs. Markus Wage and son, Duane, of Bismarck; Mrs. P.M. Wagle and daughter, Jean, of Minneapolis; Warner Anderson of Spokane, WA; Mr. & Mrs. Hans Wagle, Mr. & Mrs. R. Kenneth Raveling and two daughters, Mr. & Mrs. Irvin Severson, all of Valley City; Andrew Foley, Seattle, WA; Mr. & Mrs. Henry Nelson and Mrs. L.L. Ottem, all of Osnabrock.
