My ancestor, James B. Wagg, (1826-1880's?)came from England to Canada and is listed on Belmont Twp. census in 1871 as tinsmith, tinker, miner, deaf. He has two children listed here, Emma(b. 1856) and J. Thomas Pelkey Wegg(b. 1858). James married the mystery in our heriage, Malinda Pelkey (Pelkie, Pelletier)b. 1831? d. 1891+? - a mystery because her birth and origin are hidden in epidemics, rebelliom, and French/English, Methodist/Catholic disputes. James and Malinda disappear from our censi. My own mother's birth name was Elsie Matilda Wegg (1923). Her sisters were Margery Eva, Patricia Kaye, Dorothy, and Marion Jeanette. The Matilda caught my eye. Perhaps james or Thomas or malinda moved to kansas? please let's write.
