I have info on George Granville Waggaman, graduate of West Point, served honorably in the Florida and Mexican Wars born 1816 died 1884. "Of him a friendly biographer writes: "With his keen insight into character, his large experience of men, Major Waggaman was one of the most interesting companions I have ever met"" (have source). Married a Kennedy of St. Louis. I have extensive research, specifically on George Augustus Waggaman of Louisiana, but also other Waggaman lines connected. Kenneth, I would be pleased to exchange info. I expect you are a descendant of William Berl. Eugune Waggaman's sister Mary Christine marreid John Sandfield Macdonald, later Premier of the United Canadas and then 1st premier of Ontario, and that is my connection. My cousin, now deceased published a book on the Waggaman's Avondale plantation, with pictures of the children (ie Eugune) on the plantation, letters written by family members, life on the plantation... a wonderful but rare resource. I can give (post) info on book if anyone interested (just have to locate).

Regards,

Evelyn
