Judy, I am looking for the connection of a Mary Waffle who had a daughter Elizabeth b.1869. Mary was born in Germany and we believe she was the dau. of Anton.Maria Hass, and that she was married a Waffle. There were a number of Waffle's in the civil war.(could he have been from NY?) Mary Waffle/Werful was my g/grandfather Oliver Snell's 2nd wife.(her Dau. Elizabeth is listed under the Waffle name on earlier census reports) The Snell's moved from the twn of Lime, Jefferson Co. NY in 1850 to what became; Jefferson Co. WI! I find the name spelled Waffle and Werful though the Census reports. (Re; Snell's of the Mohawk Valley, NY) Garry Snell, WI
