Edwin Joseph Wadsworth was born April 18, 1895 to Charles E. and Mary A. Wadsworth. In addition to Edwin, Charles and Mary had a daughter, Elizabeth "Lizzie", who was born July 1892. They lived at 206 Bridge Street, Brooklyn, Kings, New York. Charles E. Wadsworth was born May 1868. His father died young and his mother remarried on July 2, 1876 to Isaiah Irving (Irvine) in Brooklyn, Kings, New York (marriage cert# 1167). Charles died May 4, 1915 (death cert# 9392) in Brooklyn. His obituary from "The New York Times" reads: CHARLES E. WADSWORTH, a florist for 20 years in business on Br___ Street, on Tuesday, aged 46 years. He was native of Newburg, New York and a member of the Sewanaka Democratic Club of the Second Assembly District. Mary A. Wadsworth, Charles' wife, died November 12, 1921 (death cert# 18324), also in Brooklyn. Edwin J. Wadsworth was employed by AT&T (listed on his WWI Draft Registration Card), as a clerk in a sheet metal factory (1920 census) and later in life by Brooklyn Edison (WWII Draft Registration Card). At the time of WWII, he lived at 109-56 111th Street in Richmond Hills, Queens, New York along with Helen Wadsworth. Edwin died in June 1963. Notify Administrator about this message?
