Looking for information on Wadley family in or around 1800 in Rutherford Co./Wilson Co. TN.
In a Family History written in 1934 about my Edwards family by the grandson. It states that in or around 1808 William Edwards was married too a Miss. Rebecca Waddly ,Who was born too parents from Scotland that came intoo the states in or near 1787. I think it might have ment that Rebecca was born in 1787... Together thay had Eight Children , Four Boys and Four Girls.
The children was all born in TN.
John Edwards b.1809 married Sarah Smith and moved too Kentucky. John died in or around 1837..
Sarah,{Sally}Edwards b. 1811 married Beverly Pearce in 1839 ,
Michael M. Edwards married Sarah Bennett in 1833 in Wilson County TN. Michael died in 1886
Nancy Edwards b. 1818 married Charles Morris in 1849,
Bradford Edwards b. 1821 married two Waddy Sisters, First Sarah Waddy in 1853,She died in 1854 and he married her sister Martha Holmes Waddy in 1855 in Gibson County TN. Bradford is listed in a 1850 Rutherford Co. TN. Census as a Border with a Albert Waddley , Bradford married and served in the Civil War , And after words came too Lawernce County Arkansas , Now knowned as Sharp County. Bradford died in Sharp County Arkanas in 1870.
Wiley B. Edwards b.1825, I have no information on Him other than his birth date...
Jane Edwards b. 1834 married Thomas Woodson in 1846 Gibson Co. TN.
Elisa Edwards b. 1837 married Henry Paris in 1858 Gibson County TN.
Some of the Children of Michael Edwards and Sarah Bennett moved too Lawrence County /Sharp County / Jackson County Arkansas.
I am interested in finding information on Rebecca Wadley/Waddly, And am hoping someone will have some helpfull information... I have noticed some Wadley Familys in Sharp County Arkansas as well as Lawrence Co. And Jackson Co. I do not know any more about Rebecca other than I have posted..Hoping too find out who her parents was and or Brothers and Sisters... I have tried too find any connetion on Waddle/Waddell Familys in the Same area. And have not found nothing.. The history has Rebecca's last name spelled Waddly...Thanks Ted E.
