Daniel is the son of Elisha and Sarah (Smith) Wadleigh of Parsonsfield, York, ME. They were m. 3 May, 1792 in Kittery. Eliaha was b. 8 Feb, 1769 in what is now S. Berwick and d. 3 July, 1872 in Parsonsfield, York, ME. Sarah was b. 26 Jan, 1765 in Kittery, York, ME and d. 30 May, 1849 in Parsonsfield, ME. Elisha's father was John and mother I have yet to prove. Help is needed here. I do not have the parents of Sarah and also need help here.
Their children were: John b. 7 Oct, 1793 in Kittery, James b. 1 Nov, 1795 in Kittery, Lovina(sp?) b. 20 Dec, 1797 in Kittery, Daniel b. 11 Nov, 1800 in Parsonsfield, Elisha S. b. 29 Sept, 1802 in Parsosnfield, Sarah S. b. 5 Aug, 1804 in Parsonsfield and Catherine 28 Oct, 1806 in Parsonsfield. This was recorded in Parsonsfield Town Vital Records, 1771-1897 - LDS #0012042. This is different that what is noted in a book that was written years later...don't recall the title at this time.
Daniel was married twice. First to Elizabeth Footman on 12 Nov, 1829 in St Albans, Somerset, ME. Their children were Sarah H. b. 1 July, 1831, Mary E. b. 27 Jan, 1833, Clarissa b. 10 Apr, 1835, William W. b. 12 July, 1837, Edwin Ruthvin (my ancestor) b. 13 Oct, 1839 in Newport and Adeline Louisa b. 8 May, 1841. Elizabeth d. 19 Dec, 1842 in Brewer. Daniel then m. Mary E. McIntosh ca 1843-47. I'd like to get documentation on this if possible. Their children were: John H. b. 2 Oct, 1847 and your Frank "Mortimer" b. 13 May, 1853.
Hope this helps you. Let me know if you discover the answers to my questions.
