The "Wade" you are looking for came from County Westmeath, Ireland.
The first of the Westmeath branch of the Wade Family was Major General William Wade of dragoon regiment in Cromwell's Army.In 1623 he obtained a grant of lands in Kilivally, (Tyrellspass) Co Westmeath and at Philipstown, King's County (now Leix). He lived at the former place and died in 1683 leaving issue a son - Jerome Wade of Kilivally who had issue three sons - William who became Canon or Windsor, Jerome who remained at Kilivally and George the Field Marshal who was born in 1673(died 1748).The Kilivally estates were sold in 1756 by Theo. - Jerome's descendant. The family is now represented by the Galway branch - the Rochfort Wades of Carrowmore in that county of their descendants.
