I am looking for information about Calvin Wade (later spelled Waid) who was born in 1761 in Elizabeth Town (NJ) and was living in Morris Town (NJ) in 1776. The following information, taken from NJ wills may help you in your search for Ruth Wade.

For reference: Calvin Waid said he was born (08 May 1761) in Elizabeth Town NJ; he was living in Morris County, near Morris Town, when he first enlisted (10 Aug 1776) in the NJ Militia; he lived in Morris County until he moved to Fort Pitt (last of Mar 1781).

and first rented Luke Watson's house and grounds, after which he purchased. He also became the owner of other properties, and died in about 1698. 14 Mar 1676 Benjamin Wade owned 120 acres; 14 Jun 1676 Benjamin Waide owned 144 acres.
