Hi Sharyn. Thank's for your reply. I have a whole host of information on Joseph Wade and his ancestors and descendants. Also on Joseph Robley and his ancestors and descendants. I would be more than happy to trade information with you. What I haveincludes Newspaper articles from the Goulburn newspaper re the Wade Family and a photograph of Joseph Wade himself. I will try to clarify you questions.
Eleanor (Ellen for short)Wood Melton-Goldsmith (Melton, not Milson) Her Step-Father was Richard Melton and her mother was Elizabeth Goldsmith. Ellen was born at the Convicts' Child Factory Parramatta on 15th Dec 1833. Her mother was a convict. Ellen married Joseph Robley (B: 6 May 1823)on the 8 May 1848. In January 1854 Joseph Robley committed suicide after 2 previous attempts. They had 3 children. Ellen then married Joseph Wade on 3 Dec 1856. Joseph had 3 sons and 1 daughter from his previous marriage to Margaret Coffey (M: 12/1/1842). So both Joseph Wade and Ellen Melton-Goldsmith had been previously married. Together they had 7 sons and 3 daughters.
Please contact me via my personal email ([email protected]) and I will be able to share a host of info with you. I would also appreciate a contact address for your friend, who if he/she is a WADE, may be related to me.Best wishes, Stephen Wade.
