Ray,
The closest I can come to the information you have given me is this family (they have a son, John C. Wade, and a daughter named Mildred).
Taken from Greene Co, GA, marriages & Talbot Co, GA, censuses 1850 & 1860 (and that's putting together bits and pieces). Dates of children's births are close guesstimates & order of children may not be correct:
James Wade
b. abt. 1820
m. 26 June 1840 - Greene Co, GA
to: Mary Elizabeth Thompson - b. abt. 1820
Children:
1. Elizabeth J. Wade - abt. 1841
2. Sarah Wade - b. abt. 1843
3. Mildred Wade - b. abt. 1845
4. John C. Wade - b. abt. 1847
5. Mary V. Wade - b. abt. 1849
6. James Wade - b. abt. 1850
7. Antoinette Wade - b. abt. 1852
8. Amanda Wade - b. abt. 1854
9. Emma Wade - b. abt. 1856
10. William Wade - b. abt. 1857
11. Robert Wade - b. abt. 1859
Another researcher on this line is LORAINE HAYGOOD (lhaygoodalltel.net), from 13 Aug 2001 (probably Wade Family Forum).
This is not a lot to go on, but it might provide a clue.
Best of luck to you,
Linda M. Smith
