I do not know of an Andrew Wade. However, the Anderson Wade I was looking for was re-
ferred to by my Father as Uncle Ander. My
Grandfather, William Riley Wade, was the second child of James and Julia. My Father,
the youngest son of William Riley, and the
9th of 10 children, is the only one alive.
He moved from Rockdale in October, 1999, to
live with me in Aurora, Colorado.I am of
the same generation as your husband.A num-
ber of our generation still live near Rock-
dale, but I don't believe any live in the
town or outlying area. Some in Taylor, Round
Rock, LaGrange, etc.The children of Albert
and Bell Wade Parker live in or around Hous-
ton.Sue has an Uncle that lives in Houston
also.
When James and Julia left Georgia, all of his
family stayed there.The descendents of
those are the ones who hold reunions. James'
parents were Magruder (Mack) and Elizabeth
Brown Wade. They are buried in the cemetery
of the country church where the reunion is
held.Lamar Whittle and Grady Wade are the
two that I came into contact with about the
same time as Sue.They are like me, greatly
interested in catching up with family.I
believe your husband and I are 2nd cousins.
I went to high school at Cypress Fairbanks,
but moved to Friendswood in November of my
Soph. year.Graduated from Friendswood in
1954.Married Patsy, from Texas City in
1955.Her siblings still live in the TC
area.We make a trip down there every year.
Plan on coming down later this year.Right
now we are focusing on Georgia.Would love
to get any and all pictures.I have some
to share with you also.If you have a
scanner, they can be sent by e-mail, and I
can just print them off.Otherwise, I would
be glad to pay expenses of copying in order
to get them. When we come down would you
and your husband be willing to meet us for
lunch somewhere. I am counting on getting to
meet him.
