As you are correct in stating that their were plenty of Lucy Winstons in Virginia (especially Hanover County, Va.). The only fact I have concerning the Waddy family is that they were free, slave owning African Americans. And like the Winston's (the African American portion of the vast clan)of whom the Waddy's may be linked with, their was one Lucy Winston residing as a child with a Mr. Dabney Winston and his wife Nancy. But we know for fact that Lucy was not the couples real daughter as she always mentioned coming from Madagascar (as our photo's of her photo ascertain).
