Looking for any information on the family of John Smelser Waddell and his father Abner Waddell b. abt 1815 who married Catherine Smelser from Tennessee ... probably Overton. Here is the text of another old posting regarding this family line from Nancy Waddell in 2000:
"I am looking for information on John Smelser Waddell. He was born Sept. 6, 1840 in Missouri (Platte County?)He died April 1900 in Rosenburg, Fort Bend County, Texas. His son Charles H. started the first telephone company in Rosenburg. There was around 10 children. This was his second family. His son John Abner lived in Fisher County, Texas. Any info on this family would be greatly appreciated. Thank you."
