Waddell's in Maine

My g-g-grandfather, Robert Waddell and his brother John were both in Lubec in the 1820's.They both immigrated from County Donegal, Ireland.Robert was born 1799 and John perhaps a little earlier.Robert worked for a while in Frederickton, NB as a landscaper/gardiner.
Robert left and went to Columbia, SC where he married and had 3 sons and died in 1841.
John and his wife (probably also from Ireland) named Catherine had a son Robert and a daughter Catherine both born in Lubec. The family moved to Columbia, SC after 1832.
This all I have on them in Maine.I am not even sure exactly when they immigrated to Lubec except I know Robert left Ireland after 1820 as shown in letters of reference he brought with him dated late that year.
I have assumed that they came to Lubec because of relatives living there, but I do not even know their father's given name, only that the family lived on or near an English estate in the town of Convoy or nearby town of Raphoe.
Any information anyone has would be greatly appreciated.
