Hi Carolyn,

I found a small bible in a book store here in San Diego and I think it might have belong to a relative of your Steiner Wachter. I would love to send it to you if it connects to your line. I believe the bible belonged to Vivian Marie Wachter, b. June 22, 1913 in Walkersville, MD, who married Moah Lee Atkins Jr on March 8, 1946 in Las Vegas, NV. The parents of Vivian were Steiner Blaine Wachter, b. April 2, 1888 in Frederick Co., MD, and Pansy Elizabeth Stauffer, b. June 3, 1888. They were married on July 28, 1910. Steiner passed away on January 18, 1965 at the age of 76 years old, and Pansey died on June 8, 1963 at age 75 years old.

There is also a newspaper obit in the bible of Steiner B Wachter. It says:

"Steiner B. Wachter, 76, a well-known Walkerville retired farmer, died at Frederick Memorial Hospital yesterday.
Born in Federick County, he was a son of the late G. H. Clay and Sarah Longman Wachter. Mr. Wachter was a member of Mt. Zion Haugh's Lutheran Church and the Junior OUAM.
He leaves a daughter, Mrs. Vivian M. Atkins of Long Beach, Calf.; five sons: Clay L. Wachter of Sander, Calif., Russell S. and Donald L. Wachter of Keymar, Joseph W. Wachter of Walkersville, and Elwood R. Wachter of Rosewood; 15 grandchildren and nine great-grandchilden.
Friends may call at the Barton Funeral Home in Walkersville today after 3 p.m.
Services will be at the funeral home tomorrow at 1:30 p.m.
Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery at Woodsboro."

On the top of the newspaper clipping, someone wrote:

Tues. 1-19-1965
Died Mon. 18-1965

This is not my line, but thought someone may want the bible. All the information I've provided above came out of the bible. Please let me know if you would like to have it. Thanks!!

Danny Redmond
