Dahlonega Nugget
10-20-1905 William Wacaster died at his hom in this county on Friday last, aged 78. The deceased came to Lumpkin Co. when only 14 years of age and has resided in it ever since. The funeral was presided by Rev. R.C. Smith and J.N. Austin. It can be said that Mr. Wacaster was a good man and we shall regret his departure very much for such a man as he will be greatly missed. He had 147 grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

William Wacaster was my gggrandfather. He came to Lumpkin Co. about 1841 married Annie Hulsey and fathered Harriet Ann (Burns), Frances (Fannie Martin London), Eliza Ann (Peck) Manerva(Collins),Nancy (Kennon),Amanda, Susan, John and Daniel. I am desperately seeking his parents names. Could he possibly be the son of John Thomas and Sally Hull Wacaster. Please help me to either prove or disprove this theory. Thank you
