I thank you for your return message on the Wacaster family. I have this line different that your listing. And this depends on which line of descendants of George Wacaster you talk to. I do not descend from George's lineage, however, I am a Wacaster researcher and I do have the lineage information. I have George's father as Jacob Weckesser Sr., the one who moved from Germantown and settled in North Carolina. George signs as witness a number of his father's land transactions.
You left out Johan Andreas father, Johan Hans Michael Weckesser. Michael arrived on the ship, "Restoration", in 1747. It would appear that his son Johan Andreas didn't come until later because his son, Jacob was a very small infant and he came later when Jacob became older. Johan Andreas married Maria M. Sonneck on 02 Jun 1744 in Germany. It's not sure if Maria died in Germany of if she died while making the trip or while she arrived in the colonies.
Any way Johan Andreas re-married to Anna Susanna ? recorded by church record in June 1750. His children are listed as father listed by baptism records.
Anna Margretha born 1751 died 1752
Johan Andreas Jr. born 1753 died 1758
Jon Micheal born 1755
Elizabeth born 1757
a daughter stillborn born 1759.
In my 20 years of research I have never heard of George Wacaster being a son of Johan Andreas Weckesser. All of his children were recorded in records. George Wacaster first record is not recorded until 1805 when he witness's a land deed for Jacob Wacaster. All of Johan Andreas children has mention in records and if George Wacaster was a son of Johan it would appear some earlier record would have been found.
Jacob Wacaster Sr. children was as I have listed are as follows.
Jacob Wacaster Jr.
However, again if you want to believe that George Wacaster was the son of Johan Andreas Weckesser, you have that right.
Again thanks for your response.
