A correction ! We are called Wabanaki Yankee or WabaYankee and not "WABENAKI". But me thinks-- Why do we not have our own site other than a list under Surname "W" ? As both Yankee and Wabanaki we bring to the New England shores and forests a rich variety of surnames- English, Irish, Dutch, French, etc. and hence we share in the rich heritage of multiple peoples and cultures.

Any one following the PBS. ORG "colonial house" series ? My emotions are real mixed here--- but this evening (Tuesday, May 25, 2004) shall be interesting--- I think that the Wabanaki's will make their point "loud and clear".
