We went on a long drive one time, and I actually saw his grave but I don't know if I can ever find where I wrote down the cemetery or the dates. The stone could be seen from the roadway when we drove slowly by the cemetery. It was just a curiosity to me then as by marriage I am a Parton. I am going through all my old folders now and may find my notes on that grave.

I was living at Centerville in Klickitat Co. WA teaching there and we went for a nice long drive one day. This was between the fall of 1979 and the spring of 1981 as I taught at Centervile for 2 full school years and was there when Mt. St. Helen blew the big one. My then husband worked two different union construction jobs during that time. One job was building an expansion at an aluminum plan (Columbia Aluminum Plant?)t and the other was building the large electricity generating windmills in the Goodnoe Hills.

An Albert Huston Parton who was missing form 1870 until his death in 1905-11 from all censuses in the United States could have used his deceased brother Alexander's name.

I don't believe this Alexander Parton/Partin/Partain/etc. is the person I was looking for as I believe I have found him in VA having dropped his last name, but I am still interested in this Alexander Parton.

I am a fairly noted genealogist and researcher myself, having researched since Jan. 1977. I have never paid for research and don't expect to start now!

Thanks again!
