Hi Rebecca, I looked up the names and found the following. Andrew K. Maxfield was living in 1910 Colfax Ward 3, Whitman Co., WA. Andrew K., b. IL, 63, IL, widower, carpenter laborer; Virgil Maxfield, son, b. MO, 24, marr 3 yrs; Era Maxfield, dau law, b. WA, 17, had given birth to 2 children still alive in 1910; Charles D. Maxfield, grandson, b. WA 1 6/12ths and Saby Maxfield, granddau, b. WA, 2/12ths. Andrew C. [according to the Census] Maxfield in 1920 was living in Colfax. He was b. IL, 79, widower and retired. His next door neighbors were Dan, Selba & John Jeffers. Joel Jeffers, b. MO, 1870 married Jennie Conklin, b. MO, 1879 in 1896 in MO. Source: U.S. and Intl Marriage Records, 1560-1900. In 1910 Joel Jeffers & family were living in Pineville, McDonald Co., MO. Joel R., b. MO, 39, marr 14 yrs, general farmer; Jennie M., b. MO, 31, had given birth to 2 children who were alive in 1910; William S., b. MO, 13 and Clyde F., b. MO, 12. In 1920 J. N. Jeffers and Jennie were living in Palouse, Whitman Co., WA. J. N., b. MO, 49, farmer and Jennie, b. MO, 40. A Joel N. Jeffers d 4 Dec 1943, Whitman Co; age=73, b. abt. 1870 per death cert #232. Source: WA Death Index 1940-1996. They will search the microfilmed newspapers for one hour at no charge & reply with what they find. Be sure to tell them his lived in Palouse and Colfax. Daniel K. Jeffers, b. Oct 1865, TN, laborer ____ ____, marr 15 yrs; Sibba b. April 1870, IL, 30, had given birth to 8 children & all were alive in 1900; Stella, b. May 1889, MO; Alonzo b. May 1891, MO; Velmer, dau, b. Feb. 1894, MO; Ada, b. MO, Jan 1896 and Neoma, b. Dec. 1897, MO. In 1910 Daniel and family lived in Colfax Ward 3, Whitman Co., WA. Daniel b. TN, 44, marr 25 yrs, laborer odd jobs; Littie [but hard to read handwriting] b. IL, 40, seamstress at home, had given birth to 8 children & 6 alive in 1910; Lonnie Andrew Jeffers, b. MO, 18, single, farm laborer; Velma D., b. MO, 16, ____ laundry; Ada, b. MO, 14; Naomi, b. MO, 12 and John J., b. WA, 6. In 1920 Daniel and part of family lived in Colfax. Daniel [but looks like Dane on Census] b. TN, 53, sheer [hard to read]; Selba, b. IL, 49 and John J., b. WA, 16, laborer. In 1930 Dan Jeffers was still living in Colfax. Dan, b.
