You are really right about Robert disappearing. I only got about 1-1/2 hrs at the FHC on Saturday, so didn't get through a lot. Did not find him in anything I looked at. It will be a few weeks before I get back to the FHC, but will try some more. I can only go when my husband can watch our daughter or she goes to a friends home. She's 7 and just doesn't do very well when mom's doing research. Just not much for her to do while I look at microfilm.
You mentioned you found Robert in Boston in 1910 with John Shine and Mary Rooney Shine. Where were they born? Is there a possibility he went up to Canada? So far I have not had much luck finding people on the Canadian censuses, even though I know they were there.
Let me know what you find out about Mary and maybe we can find Robert yet.
