Hi Dale,
I was hoping to find indexes of the cemeteries in Whatcom Co. on-line but didn't find any.

Check out Random Acts Genealogical Kindness. Go to raogk.org/, read guidelines, choose Washington and choose Whatcom Co. Ask the volunteer if he has cemetery lists where he can look up Jane's name.

I have found the records maintained by a cemetery are often incorrect especially at City-owned cemeteries. Keeping up the records seems to take a back seat to preparing for a burial, mowing, maintenance, etc.

Also check interment.com and findagrave.com.

Another source might be the Whatcom Genealogy Society, theusgenweb.org/wa/whatcom/WGS/wgs.htm .

All churches seem to keep records somewhere. The challenge is the somewhere. Try to Google search for Salvation Army Whatcom Co. or Salvation Army Whatcom History. Successful Searching!
