Hello,
I Have not found him yet here is a bit more info on him...
John (middle name may have been David) Wagner was born in Liberty, Hamilton County, Iowa Oct. 21, 1894 to Samuel (Sam) David Wagner and Mary Wilson (Ballentine- Ballantine) Wagner.
The Family moved to Spokane County around 1903-1904
The story is that John was walking to school in the rain and became chilled, he died of Pneumonia rather quickly.
Samuel never liked the weather in Washington and after the death of his son he began making plans to leave and by the summer of 1909 the family had moved to Montana.
My husbands grandfather Leonard, Johns' little brother,
returned to Spangle in 1963 and found the burial site.
Leonard passed away in 1967 and we dont know the exact location of the cemetery just that it was at Spangle.
Leonard was about 7 years old when the family moved to Montana, so I believe that there had to have been a stone for him to have found him.
I understand how harsh years and weather can be on a headstone and that one may no longer exist but I would love to at least fine a location.
Thank You!!
Marcie
