Does anyone have any information about this family? They are my ancestors and I am doing a tree. Wenatchee Washington, Mrs. Matilda Wheeler died on April 15, 1940. She was born in Ashland Kentucky in 1863 to David & Nancy Rice Wilson. Her father David was born in Pennsylvania in 1823 or 1824. David moved to Kentucky sometime around late 1800's and married in 1850 Greenup County Kentucky. They moved to Carter County Kentucky around 1870 and lived there until their death. David died around 1884.
Matilda married in 1889 to Joseph Wheeler in Catlettsburg Kentucky and lived there until 1906. Joseph Wheeler died in 1924.
Matilda was a member of First Christian Church and Woman's Relief Corps. She had 3 son's: Donald, Ernest, and William of Pateros and a daughter Mrs. Earl Reeves of East Wenatchee; 3 sisters: Mary Powers of Soldier, Margaret of Ashland Kentucky, Mrs. Claire White of Cadillac Michigan; 3 brothers: Moses and "Jinnie" (Jimmy) of Olive Hill and David of Des Moines Iowa; 12 grandchildren. I would also like to find out who Matilda's grandparents are?
Thank You.
