Paul, Julia (Mathias) and James Larson
Anyone related to / descended from / know of the Paul Larson - Julia (Mathias) Larson Family of Snohomish or King Counties during the early 1900's?
I am researching JAMES MATTHEW LARSON, born March 1908, who listed them as his parents on his application for a SocSec number back in 1937. I've had zero successes researching every state record you can think of, and very few leads through Polk City Directories, published high school yearbooks, library records, and Catholic Diocesan archives to name but a few.
James stated that he was born in Kent, King County, WA on his SocSec application. Polk Directory for the City of Everett (1925-30) listed a Paul and Julia (M) Larson - who were the ONLY Paul and Julia Larson household in the area of the correct ages to be James' folks. Problem is, this Paul and Julia immigrated from Sweden in 1924 when James would have been 16 years old! They apparently had a son, Eric, who was 3 years older than James, and who left home when he (Eric) was 25.
There was one Polk entry for a "Jim Larson", but no age or common address with the others, (though interestingly working in a similar field as ALL the others, i.e., millwork). With no connection to Paul, Julia OR Eric, he coulda been a total stranger. (Besides, who in Everett did not workin a mill in those days, right?)
My confusion and frustrations grow as I research on. I've been at this on-and-off for over ten years! Maybe someone out there - and I know there are a LOT of Larsons living there now - is doing up the old family tree and will read this. If so, and you're feeling charitable, any help you can offer your long-lost cousin would be greatly appreciated! I'd be very happy to reciprocate any way I could.
Thanks,
James M. Larson (Anyone else think the name's a little 'ironic'?)
