Your only other post on the Genforum was in 2004 concerning a Louise Alsing who came to the US in 1887. She had a son in Illinois in 1898 or 1900.

Is this woman the mother of the August W. Johnson that you seek now? You did not provide enough information on either search.

In the 1900 census for Duncan, Tioga County, Pennsylvania, I find a Louisa Johnson, born in Sweden, immigrated in 1886. She was born April 1864. She is the wife of Andrew? Johnson born in Sweden. She has 7 children, 6 living, one is August W. born August 1898, he is twin to sister Amelia. They were born in Illinois. I only show this as one possible connection to the other search.

--The 1900 Census had 1,839 August Johnson's, 45 born in 1899.
"Your" August, could have been almost anywhere in 1900-1930, missing the US Census.
There are just too many with this name to speculate on any one of them without your background. Here is a Norway List guide to might help:
