Gilhousen Families of Skagit & Whatcom Counties

I am seeking to correspond with any living relatives of the Gilhousens of Skagit & Whatcom Counties, or anyone with information regarding these families.

GILHOUSEN, William Henry (b. 1854) and wife, Emma. Born in PA > Rice Co, MN > Maple Falls, then Anacortes, WA. Died in Bellingham in 1941.

+ GILHOUSEN, James Henry (b. 1876)
m. BREITKREITZ, Emma (b. 1872)
+ GILHOUSEN, Elvin (b. 1904)
+ GILHOUSEN, Malinda Elvira (b. 1882)
m. JACOBUS, John Holder (b. 1874)
+ GILHOUSEN, Walter Wood (b. 1891)
m. BREITKREITZ, Josephine "Nettie" (b. unknown)
+ GILHOUSEN, Gail (b. 1923)
+ GILHOUSEN, Darrel (b. 1925)
+ GILHOUSEN, Donald (b. 1929)
+ DAGNER, Ellsworth (1907-1930 - stepson)

We have information in the Gilhousen Family Association central genealogical database on this lineage from 1757 to the present, but data collection specifically on the Northern Washington State Gilhosuens and closely related families is still very incomplete.

We also have newspaper clippings and other documents referencing individuals believed to be related, for whom we have no additional information, nor verification of the relationship.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated, and of course, our available data is available to be freely shared.

John-Mark Gilhousen
Interim Director, Gilhousen Family Association
