seeking Cathleen B Johnson, genealogist

I am seeking Catherine B Johnson from the Astoria/Long Beach area. I think she worked with my great Aunt Opal Johnson in genealogy of our family from Montana. I have found a lot of information I would like to share and add to her search, and get some pictures and a packet Opal was supposed to have "left in the care" of the society there

I am the grand daughter of James Everett Bates, who had two brothers, really three, and one sister. Their father was Robert T Bates born in MO and their mother was Eliza (sometimes called Elizabeth) Cavanaugh/Bates born in Tennessee. She was born in 1852,

I am trying to find her maiden name, which somehow keeps coming up as Bates, but that was her married name also. Family secrets are coming out and very interesting letters and stories. These will be shared along with a regular bevy of pictures and fun memoribilia. I am also seeking Karen, Opals daughter, who may have some information. I have no information about Karen, she has married several times so her last name has been lost to me, but perhaps she was interested in genealogy and the Long Beach group would know of her and now to contact her. Thanks, Robin Barnett
