Lydia Peri (Perry) arrived 2 May 1902 aboard the Polaris I from Hanko, Finland. She was a member of Kymi Parish, Viipuri Province. "Johan Emil Malmberg" b. 1874 in Finland, I mentioned was found in Chehalis County, Wa., married to Lydia with Lula b. Dec 3, 1906 and Sylvia b. Feb. 29, 1908 listed, as their children. Johan was naturalized in 1899. Lydia's death certificate list's her a citizen of Finland. Based on the 1910, Fed. Census Johan and Lydia were married around 1905. Strangely enough, my Great Grandma Sylvia was born in Eureka, California, but her older sister Lula, in Chehalis County, Wa. So, Much for the old Oregon Trail theory. Nevertheless, Johan's occupation is listed as a Laborer/Street Vendor. Furthermore, I've located Sylvia, Lydia and John Jay Kristo's cemetary plots and have visted them, since then.
Sylvia's buried at the entrance of the Fern Hill Cemetary, positioned at the base of a tree. I't took two visits to locate her plot, I never did find the grounds keeper. Lydia spent her last days at the Arden Rest Home, in King County, Seattle. John and Lydia are laid to rest in the Acacia Cemetary, in the Madrona Section, along the road. John and Lydia resided previously at 8035 Jones Ave. N.W., King County, Seattle, Wa. If you know this family or have information regarding them, I surely welcome your E-mail. Very Respectfully, Jason Clark
