Hi Karolyn, I saw your query on the Okanogan Co page on GenForum. I was born in Brewster and went to school in Omak half a century ago. I have selected census info available here at home and was able to make two finds concerning Nathan. I have summarized each find as follows: In the summer of 1880, a census taker visited a Dodd family farm in the Jackson Township of Porter County, Indiana. Head of the family was Nathan Dodd, age 27, born in IN, his father in VA and his mother in NC. His wife was Elizabeth, age 25, born in IN as were her parents. They had three children living with them at that time: Elcie age 6, Clarence age 4 and Ulcie age 1. All three children were born in Indiana. (Page 412B). In the summer of 1900, the Dodd family was still living in the Jackson Township of Porter Co, IN. Nathan F. Dodd, was 46, born in August 1853 Indiana, his father in VA and his mother in Ohio. He was a farmer. His wife was Elizabeth, age 45, born Jan 1855 in IN, her father in OH and her mother in NY. They had been married for 26 years and had four children all still alive. There were two children living with them: Clarence age 22 born Sep 1876 and Blanch age 19 born Feb 1887. Both children were born in Indiana. They lived next to Leslie Dodd, age 21, born Oct 1879 in IN, his wife Lynn born in IN April 1880.
Just in case this is helpful,
