Hi James, I found your David Holloway family first in Whitetail, Keith Co., NE in 1900. David, head, b. Oct 1840, IL, marr 31 yrs, farmer; Susan E., wife, b. MO, July 1850, had given birth to 7 children all alive in 1900; Orie B., dau, b. April 1880, MO, single, teacher; Orphie, b. July 1882, MO, dau, teacher; Wesley S., b. Sept. 1886 MO, laborer; Lester F., b. March 1887, MO, laborer; Harry E., b. Aug 1889, MO; Lulu F., b. NE, Dec 1891, May E., b. May 1894, NE an Helena Smith, boarder.

In 1910 some of the family were living in Kennewick, Benton Co., WA and the surname looks like Hollaway on the Census. David P., 63 yrs old, IL, marr 41 yrs, fruit farmer; Susan E., b. MO, 59, had 12 children & 10 alive in 1910; Harry E., b. NE, 20, single; Lula F., b. NE, 18 and May E., b. NE, 15.

In 1920 a David P. Halloway and Mary Halloway were living in Kennewick Gardens, Benton Co., WA. David, b. IL, 73 yrs old, no occupation and Mary, b. MO, 69. Guess Mary was a typo for Susan?

A Lester Hollaway whose Last Residence was Twisp, Okanogan Co., WA; born 27 March 1887, died October 1973. His soc. sec. # was assigned in WA in 1954. Source: Social Security Death Index.

A Harry Edwin Hollaway filled out his World War I Draft reg. card June 5, 1917. He was living 202 Central Ave. South, Kent, King Co., WA. He was born Keystone, NE, 11 Aug 1889. Occupation-Special Agent, Standard Oil Co., Kent. He was tall & stout with gray eyes & light brown hair. He was married, had a wife and child but didn't claim an exemption from WWI.

Harry E. Hollaway and family were living in Kent, King Co., WA in 1920. Harry E., b. NE, 30, truck chauffeur; Aline G., b. WI, 30 and Helen C., b. WA, 5.

In 1930 the family living in Albany, Linn Co., OR. Harry E., b. NE, 40 yrs old, marr 24 yrs, auto salesman; Aline b. WI, 40; Helen, b. WA, 15 and Harry, b. WA, 9.

W. S. Holloway and family were living in Kennewick, Benton Co., WA in 1910. W. S., b. MO, 25 yrs old, marr 1 yr; Maud, b. MO, 21, had given birth to one child and Stanley b. WA 7/12ths.

In 1920 the family lived in Mazama, Okanogan Co., WA. Wesley S., b. MO, 35, farm laborer; Maud B., b. MO 31; Stanley C. b. WA, 10 and Norma C., b. WA 4 11/12ths.

I'd contact the Tri-City Gen. Soc., and ask them to check the WA Death index microfilm for David's death date. Hopefully they will have the info for the entire state.

The Okanogan County Gen. Soc. can be reached at Successful Hunting!
