Why do you need to know where Oliver was born? That really has nothing to do with this search. This is about finding their children, cousins to the original poster. But, I'll post what I found: The Washington Death Index shows Oliver Aasen, born about 1907, died 16 Mar 1982 in Seattle. The Social Security Death Index shows Oliver was born 19 Mar 1906. The 1920 census for Portland, Traill County, North Dakota Oliver, age 13, born in Minnesota, son of O.A. and Claudina Aasen. O.A. born in Iowa to both parents born in Norway. Olaus.A. (probably patronymic for Andersen) Aasen was son of Anders Ellefson Lesteberg, born 25 Aug 1835, died 1908; and Gundjor Alsdatter Aasen, born 1845, died 1914. If you don't understand the Norwegian naming patterns, Patronymics, it appears that Anders moved to the Aasen farm and married Gunjor prior to their emigration. I can provide links for learning about the patronymics, and other Norwegian information. Oliver was born 19 March 1906 in Hallock, Minnesota and died 16 Mar 1982 in Seattle. Alice was born 1 Feb 1907 in Lynn, Essex County, Massachusettes and died 15 January 1994 in Lynnwood. Oliver married Alice and two children, Jacqueline and Claudette. Lynnwood is in Snohomish County.
