"The Tacoma News Tribune" of June 27,1957 page B-2 Tacoma, Pierce County, Washington Retired Pastor Stricken at 79 The Rev. Nelson W. Wehrhan, 79, a retired minister of 3222 No. 24th St., died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born in Lake Mills, Wis. He had lived in Tacoma the last 14 years. Mr. Wehrhan served the University Place Presbyterian Church for 10 years. For six months prior to his retirement in 1956, he served the Pilgrim Congregational Church. He was assistant to the president of Grinnell College in Iowa 20 years and later served 10 years as president of Tabor College in Iowa. Surviving are his wife, Anna, of the home; one daughter, Mrs. Lois Stoaks of Seattle; two sisters, Mrs. Albert Huber and Miss Nora Wehrhan, both of Clarksville, Iowa; four grandchildren and one great-grandson. Funeral services will be announced by Buckley-King Co. Notify Administrator about this message?
