I found a record on Ellis Island http://ellisisland.org You can access this for free but you will need to create an account. The spelling is exact. Guiseppe Fornengo. Date April 6, 1903. This man is a miner. Destination is Rock Spring, Wyoming to his friend Degina???? Pietro? Joseph is age 25. I know the age is not a match but he does come from Cournge.
I am struggling to find August Joseph in the census. The census would tell us where he lived and what children he had. With the children, I could possibly find your living relatives. I will continue to try.
