Seattle is in King County.

Do you know the name of Michael McKenna's first wife? How do you know that she went to either Seattle or Tacoma when she left him?

If you believe that Michael McKenna's children were born while he was stationed at Fort Lewis, the Washington Birth Index should list those births. The indices are broken into 10 year increments in the early years, and then 5 year spans after 1939. The index is organized by Soundex code of the father's name. The films are available for "rent" through your local Family History Center.

The Tacoma Family History Center has a complete set of the Washington Birth indices on hand. Feel free to contact me if you need more info about the availability of records.
