Hi Agne,

This may be her.

Eleanor, age 20, maid for private family, born Washington

Carl, age 38, millwright, sawmill, born Minnesota, parents born Norway

Eda, age 37, wife, born Washington parents born Norway

Dorris, age 13, daughter

Norman, age 11, son

Eleanore, age 10, daughter

Clayton, age 8, son

Robert, age 5, son

Gordon, age 1-9/12, son

all the children born Washington with father born Minnesota mother born Washington

There is a marriage record for a Carl M. WOLD and Ida OFFERDAL, married June 30, 1915 King County , Washington
Carl is shown as living in Benton County and Ida living in Pierce County
so why they married in Kings County ??

Witnesses to the marriage were Elida Erickson and Henry Offerdal

I see in the marriage record for Eleanore and John Howard Martinson the witnesses were Elmer Bergman and Doris M. Walker
I am wondering if this Doris could be her sister - as shown in census above.

There is a marriage for a Doris Wold to a Gardir P. Walker, 1936 King Co.
no ages shown for them to confirm it is right girl but sure seems likely.

Ida M. Wold born about 1893 died Jan. 7, 1981 Tacoma, Pierce

I have not found death for Carl

WOLD (indexed as WARD)
Carl M., age 28, farmer, born MN parents born Norway

Ida, age 27, wife, born WA parents born Norway

Doris, age 3-6/12, daughter, born WA father born MN mother born WA

Norman, age 2, son, born WA father born MN mother born WA

next door to them are
Jens, age 58, widower, farmer, born Norway parents born Norway

Henry age 25, son, born WA parents born Norway

this is likely the Henry who witnessed the marriage of Carl and Ida

In 1900 census there are two Carl Wold born about 1892 Minnesota, both are living in Minnesota so hard to know which is the right one. One born Jan. one born Aug. so I went back to look for any other info to help and there are two draft records - one for WW1 and one for WW11, both in Washington and both showing Carl Martin Wold born Jan. 15, 1892 Minneapolis, Minnesota which is where the one is in 1900.

Thos. C. age 35,clerk, grocery store, born April 1865, Norway parents born Norway, immigrated 1886

Mathilda, age 34, wife, born Sept. 1865 Norway, parents born Norway immigrated 1886

Carl, age 8, son born Jan. 1892

Henry, age 6, son born oct. 1893

Margaret, age 4, daughter born July 1895

Rudolph, age 2, son born June 1897

all children born MN parents born Norway

and 1940 for Carl and Ida

Carl, age 48, planer, saw mill, born MN

Eva, wife, age 47 born WA

Clayton, son age 19, laborer, born WA

Robert, son age 15, born WA

Gordon, age 11, son, born WA

Richard, age 9, son, born WA

Lois, age 5, daughter, born WA

Carol, age 2, daughter, born WA

Let me know if you want more on Thomas and Mathilda - I see they end up in Washington also and his name is Thomas in some census and Thorvald in others.

I can also give you more on Ida and her family.

I have not found a death for Eleanore so she may still be living OR perhaps she remarried after death of husband ?

As I found death for Ida I looked for her at Find a Grave to see if any other family buried near her. She is listed as buried in Trinity Lutheran Church cemetery
also buried there are Carl M. 1892-1965
Gordon 1928-1999
Robert 1925-1971

I also looked for any Martinson in Pierce Co. but did not find either John or Eleanore.

The Washington birth database at ancestry ends too late to help look for children of Eleanore and marriages don't list parents names so no help there either.

There is a death for a John H. Martinson born about 1918 died May 14, 1994 Tacoma, Pierce

I tried to find an obit for John hoping it would include any children's names but no luck there either.

I was thinking that perhaps if you contacted Puget Sound Plywood they may be able to tell you about John and Martinson as he was pretty important in that company.
you could contact the Tacoma News Tribune to see if they have an obit for John from 1994
